Message from the Principal

Welcome to Winchester High School, a vibrant and user-friendly community that includes our terrific staff (the teachers, counselors, custodians, secretaries, aides, administrators, and cafeteria workers), parents, and most importantly, you, the students.

Our goal is to provide a supportive and engaging environment that allows everyone to feel connected to the community and find success and happiness. Winchester High School prides itself on this welcoming atmosphere, as well as its broad-reaching programs: academic, artistic, vocational, athletic and co-curricular.

Respect for our differences is the most important core value in our community. Respect is expected of every person for every person. We may disagree. We may (and should) challenge one another’s thinking. However whatever our differences, we must always respect each another and treat each other with civility.

Please carefully read the rules and regulations found in this book. The purpose of having such policies is to insure a safe school atmosphere that allows teachers to teach and students to learn in the best possible climate. Above all, the school community expects all of us to take responsibility for our own actions and conduct ourselves with integrity.

If you have questions about any of these policies ask any staff member or me. The principal’s door is always open. I am hoping to get to know each and every one of you this year.
