Connect & Commit is Winchester High School’s Community Service-Learning Program. The program’s goal is to engage Winchester High School students and faculty in the challenges and rewards of community service-learning. Community service-learning is a form of experiential learning which can enhance student learning and engagement, address a variety of social and community needs, build character and civic responsibility, and enrich both the school and the community.

Through the support of the Winchester Community Service Foundation, the High School has a full-time Program Director, Kristen Ritchie, who runs the three components of Connect & Commit. There are three components of the Connect & Commit program:

1) Clearinghouse of Community Service Opportunities
2) Connect & Commit Community Service-Learning Club
3) Training and Support for Integration of Service-Learning

This website also has information on current activities offered by Connect & Commit, how to get involved, general community service-learning links and resources, and volunteer and liability release forms.

If you have any questions or suggestions about Connect & Commit or this website, please Contact the Program Director.
